California

This week we were able to venture down to sunny California! We decided to take a little trip to get away from the cold and the hectic day to day life of work and school and might I say it was much needed and fully appreciated! We have been wanting to take Dominik to San Diego to see Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal park and so when the opportunity came about we jumped on it. The whole way there Dominik kept saying "San Diego" he was so excited! The first morning he woke up at 6:30am and said "mom...San Diego?" after that there was no getting him back to sleep so the two of us got ready for the day and were out the door at 7:15am to start sight seeing some of San Diego before anyone else was awake! Each day he woke up no later than 7:00am and would say "mom...another fun one?"

When we made it to Sea World I was a bit embarrassed because Dominik acted as if it was the first time he had ever been outside of the house before....he was running and yelling and chasing birds....it was hilarious! He loved all the animals at each of the places and said that his favorites were the "Flamingo's and Elephants".

We were lucky to go with Joe and Andrea and their family and I will always be thankful that we decided to go just for the pure fact of seeing how excited and happy Dominik was, I seriously think that being a parent is one of the greatest things ever, especially in moments such as these. Thanks Luke for making it possible for us to escape to paradise for a bit!
