So, this weekend Luke and I ran in a relay. Not just one of those short little relays that take place around a track, that usually last for a few minutes but a relay that last 26 hours and 33 minutes. That's right not 26 minutes but 26 hours. Even though that may sound like a lot of hours, it was actually a rockin time placing us 19th out of 65 plus teams. Not to bad considering we hadn't trained very much. The relay team consisted of 12 members, six of whom we had never met before. Needless, to say our truck load of runners were by far better than the other 6, not to be bias or anything but we had the hardest legs of the race that consisted of mostly uphill runs with horrible weather conditions which included: tons and tons of rain, lightening, and extreme heat. The other 6 whom we didn't know were dealt the easy hand of perfect running conditions, downhill running courses and ideal running times of the day. However, I must admit that it feels pretty darn good to be able to say that we ran in super tough running conditions, and on super hard running courses, and still had better times than the other 6. Hands down this relay rocked and even though it was a living hell at moments we can't wait to do it again next year!

I have to say that just being around you after the race made it sound like a blast,but being the driver sounded like fun to me! Way to go everybody!! Mom
You guys are amazing! That's pretty awesome that you two ran a 26 hour relay race. Btw, your son is so cute. I love his blue eyes.
